An acquaintance over at Democratic Underground brought this to my attention: Sarah Palin calendars. I don’t want to steal anyone’s thunder, so you can read all about it over on The Mudflats.
The last thing we need is Sarah Palin’s visage watching over the garages and kitchens of Alaska, the southeast and the Bible belt. This woman was problematic enough when she was on the news every night spouting some message of hate and/or ignorance. But take all of that conservative hero worship and crystallize it into a static icon and you’re promoting Palin to the level of a folk hero or a demi-god.
And I thought fundamentalists were against worshipping graven images.
